Angel Tree

*Dec 1 Update* – Thanks to your generosity and service, all children are cared for. Check back soon for more opportunities to serve our community!

Each year, our community comes together to purchase items for children in need. Usually, this happens through the Angel Tree at our annual Bazaar; this year we have gone digital! We are asking for persons to purchase a gift, a clothing article, or both (if you can) for a child supported by the Carroll County Youth Service Bureau.

This year there are over 40 children in need in our community – that means 80+ opportunities to be in service this season! Click the link below to help make the joy of Christmas come alive for boys and girls in Carroll County this year.

Cold Weather Shelter Meal Prep

Since 2013 Wesley Freedom has been one of several churches and community groups in Carroll County that provide an evening meal to homeless adults (18 and older) at Westminster’s Cold Weather Shelter each Winter. WFUMC provides meals on both the first Tuesday and the third Wednesday of each month. Members of our congregation serve this ministry by buying food, preparing meals (usually casseroles), and delivering and serving the meals to the guests at the shelter. Most people who participate simply buy food and prepare the meals, then drop them off at the kitchen in the Community Life Center the evening we are scheduled to serve. We have a small group of facilitators, who take the prepared food, reheat it (as needed), and deliver it and serve it at the shelter. If you would be interested in being a part of this ministry, please contact one of our Team Leaders: Kevin SilberzahnDonald KropfelderRoger Bridges, or Sharon Feldman. Thank you and blessings for your support of this vital ministry in our community
