Together we live the mission of sharing God’s grace in ways which nurture faith and care for the whole person. As were-engage for a new season, this is the perfect time to prayerfully and boldly consider who you are, what gifts and passions God has given you, and where you are called to serve.

VBS Leaders, Helpers & Support Team **

Join our VBS Ministry Team as we prepare to welcome campers toMonumental VBS the week of July 11-15th. We will be celebrating God’s greatness! We need volunteers to serve in all elements of VBS from setup to games, story telling to tear down. VBS is an exciting and FUN packed week that you don’t want to miss!

Summer Sunday School & Nursery**

Summer is the perfect time to try out serving in Sunday School orNursery. Students begin in worship and continue to Sunday School following the Children’s Message. Nursery meets 10 minutes prior to service in room 107. The focus is to help children & families feel safe & nurtured during worship.

Fall Readiness Team **

Do you love to clean & organize? Help get our building in tip top shape! Rooms, forms & folders will need refreshing and preparation for the season to come. This is a great opportunity for those who love to serve behind the scenes.

Child Care Team **

Do you want to support families as they engage in Adult Discipleship? We are seeking adults & teens to care for infants & elementary age children while parents participate in small group discipleship.

~NEW~ Life Group Hosts

Fall 2022 will be a re-launch of our Life Groups! We are in need of persons willing to open their homes to welcome a small group of people weekly, or commit to helping to organize the meeting somewhere else. LifeGroups are made up of people who share common interests, life stage or geographic area. They covenant together to meet weekly, study scripture or discipleship practices, and serve beyond the walls of the church every month or two.

Home Communion Ministers

Once per month, receive the blessed bread & wine from our celebration of communion and share communion with some of our homebound members.Pastor Ian will facilitate introductions and provide training and prayer resources.

Emergency Meals

Like to care for others by cooking? Join this team and cook meals for families in crisis. Requests and scheduling of meal delivery are exchanged through email.

Feed My Sheep

Feed My Sheep provides lunch to those who benefit from a hot meal or company on Mondays, Thursdays, & Fridays.

  • Host/Liaison: Commit to one day a month serving as host & liaison for our meal prep teams from visiting churches.

South Carroll Food Pantry

South Carroll Food Pantry distributes food to anyone in need on the 4th Saturday of each month. The team is seeking individuals to serve in setup/tear down and distribution day hospitality.

Worship Support Ministry

Tech Team **

Operate technology(cameras, slides, sound mixer, lights) at all services. We’ll train you!

Liturgists**

Read scripture and lead congregational liturgy for traditional services.

Communion Support**

Do a variety of tasks to enable the congregation to receive communion.Opportunities include baking bread, setting the altar, and serving.

Acolytes*

3rd-8th graders are needed to light candles for 8 & 9:30am services.

Find your place to sing or play an instrument, either as a soloist or in a group. Contact Dan for details. We also have the following standing groups that are all open to welcoming new musicians

Chancel Choir

Directed by Dan Eschliman

Rehearses Wednesdays @ 7pm. Sings weekly for 9:30am TraditionalWorship, September-June, and occasionally at 8am or for special services.

Worship Band

Directed by Dan Eschliman

Rehearses Mondays @ 7:30pm, and leads Sunday worship with a rotating lineup at 11am.

Brass

Directed by Mirrel Wothers

Rehearses Thursdays @ 5:00pm. Plays monthly, September-June.

Handbells**

Directed by Sue Steiner

Rehearses Sundays @ 10:30am. Plays in traditional worship about once each month, September-June

Youth Band**

Directed by Dan Eschliman

Rehearses Wednesdays @ 5pm. Leads worship monthly at 11am& for youth events. Open to 6th-12th grade keyboardists, bassists, drummers, guitarists, and vocalists.

Middle School Band**

Directed by Sarah Gibson

Rehearses Wednesdays during Middle School Ministry. Leads worship at MSM onWednesday evenings. Open to middle schoolers who play or want to learn piano, guitar, bass, or drums, or who love to sing.

Hospitality Ministry

Greeter & Usher **

Welcome worshippers into our building and the sanctuary with a warm smile & greeting. Assist during worship with the offering & persons coming forward for communion.

Hospitality Coordinator

Be a hospitality team leader on a Sunday morning! Coordinate greeters and ushers on Sunday morning and communicate any need-to-know information. Set up the hospitality station. (7:30am-10am; 10am-12:30pm)

Funeral Meals Team

Provide hospitality and comfort food for families experiencing loss.

Hope Rising

INFORMATION: What Is Hope Rising?

Mission: To be a safe community providing relationships and resources for abundant health

Hope Rising is a mission of Wesley Freedom which seeks to gather and provide resources for those in our South Carroll community. Hope Rising provides resource referrals, counseling and mental health resources, as well as monthly educational events. Hope Rising also offers a monthly recovery service (1st Thursday) and periodic healing services. These serve as space for persons to gather and receive hospitality, care, community, and spiritual care.

Hope Rising is establishing a new office at Wesley Freedom Main Campus.

Hospitality

Prepare the space and greet the worshiping community on Thursday nights or serve as a receptionist during the week.

Receptionists

Instrumental & voice musicians are needed for the NEW Hope Rising band. Audio-visual tech support is needed for the 7pm service on Thursdays.
