Did you know that there is a right way and a wrong way to be a disciple? As Jesus approached his crucifixion, he was very concerned that the people he had selected to be apostles would lead his church in the right way. This week, we hear some of Christ’s final directions to his disciples & see the example he set for them as he faced down his own trial – gifts that we still receive today as our marching orders down our journey of faith.

This Sunday, Jesus invites us to get out of our boats and walk with him on top of the water. This message is for all those who want to follow Jesus in bold and brave ways but admit that fear and doubt can hold us in the presumed safety of our boat. Our message will stretch us to imagine what God can do in us and through us as we step beyond what we can do alone.
Year of Invitation: Invite a friend who is interested in serving the community to join you in worship or for a service project.
