Wesley Weekly September 28, 2023

“In the beginning, God…”

~ Genesis 1:1a

This Sunday we consider what we believe about our beginnings. Did the earth and all that we see around us grow up from a big bang? Can we fully accredit natural selection for the brilliant, ornate, creative, and sometimes hilarious details of plants and animals? What do we believe about the beginning and our beginnings and how do these foundational beliefs shape the lives we are living?

We will celebrate World Communion at every service.

8:00am & 9:30am We welcome the Wesley Freedom Brass back for their fall season.

11:00am 6 young people will be introduced for baptism and baptized in the river after worship.

  • 8:00am – Traditional Communion Service.

  • 9:30am – Traditional Communion Service with Nursery & Sunday School.

  • 11:00am – Contemporary Communion Service with Children’s Message. Praise Kids Choir will sing.

Church Conference October 7, 2023 – 9:00am – 10:00am

Baltimore-Washington Conference Center

11711 East Market Place, Fulton, MD 20759

Professing Members of the Congregation are welcome to join extended council for this year’s church conference, which will include a vote to sell the property of the former St. James United Methodist Church. Wesley Freedom was gifted this property when the church closed and we have been the stewards of it and are now preparing to sell the property to generate funds to invest in Wesley Freedom facilities.
