Why Do We Give?

  • In generous response for all that God has given us
  • As an act of faith, trusting God’s continued provision
  • As an investment in God’s eternal purposes
  • As an act of hope, anticipating that God is able to multiply our offerings into an abundance of lives transformed

Each Fall, we invite our members and regular attenders to make a “generosity pledge” of their giving for the upcoming year. These are useful to the finance committee when establishing the church budget. Because your pledge is an estimate you can adjust it at any time as your financial circumstances change.

Pledge to Give – Act in faithfulness

Worship & Discipleship

Your generosity provides our children, youth and adults opportunities to grow in faith together through worship, small groups and gatherings. Together we support a dynamic team of pastors and ministry leaders who dedicate themselves fully to the work of the Lord on our behalf.

Hunger, health & Human Dignity

Your giving supports our ability to continue meeting the needs of many in our community through our Family Resource Center,  Blessings Closet, South Carroll Food Pantry and Feed My Sheep Ministries.

Operations & Communications

Your faithfulness in giving allows us to continue to provide safe and accessible ministries.  Facility repairs, mortgage payments,  electricity and building maintenance are all part of the operating expenses we share. Office equipment, phones, paper, postage and other supplies are essential to keeping us connected.

Financial Responsibily

To ensure the church’s financial responsibility and transparency a Finance Committee is elected annually by the Charge Conference. The committee compiles an annual budget which is submitted to the Church Council for approval. With the help of a group of counters, the Financial Secretary is responsible for counting and promptly depositing donations, and maintaining accurate donor records. The Treasurer disburses payments for expenses as named in the church budget, and prepares monthly financial statements which are submitted to the Church Council. All benevolent  donations are submitted on a monthly basis to the conference treasurer or the respective designated charity.
