Fighting Hunger Beyond Our Community

Since 2013 Wesley Freedom has been one of several churches and community groups in Carroll County that provide an evening meal to homeless adults (18 and older) at Westminster’s Cold Weather Shelter each Winter. WFUMC provides meals on both the first Tuesday and the third Wednesday of each month. Members of our congregation serve this ministry by buying food, preparing meals (usually casseroles), and delivering and serving the meals to the guests at the shelter. Most people who participate simply buy food and prepare the meals, then drop them off at the kitchen in the Community Life Center the evening we are scheduled to serve. We have a small group of facilitators, who take the prepared food, reheat it (as needed), and deliver it and serve it at the shelter. If you would be interested in being a part of this ministry, please contact one of our Team Leaders:  Kevin SilberzahnDonald KropfelderRoger Bridges  . Thank you and blessings for your support of this vital ministry in our community
